About Us:

The North Lakeland Youth Soccer (NLYS) club is a family-friendly non for profit organization (EIN # 61-1716780), that was formed in the early 80’s with its main focus on engaging the kids of our community and giving them an outlet to the game of soccer.  The NLYS club is affiliated with the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and abides by its rules and regulations. NLYS is governed by an elected fifteen (15) board members, five (5) of which make up the Executive board.  All members of the board follow the NLYS Constitution and By Laws and are supportive of our mission statement.

The NLYS club has three (3) different seasons.

Fall - With registration from July – Mid- August with games running from September through December.

Spring - With registration from December – Mid-February with games played on Saturday morning from March through May, culminating in the “Quest for the Universal Cup”.

Summer – With registration starting in Mid- April through May.  This program called “Keep Em’ Kicking” meets once a week and is our instructional season where the players have their skills further developed.  This runs from Mid-June – Mid July.

The North Lakeland Youth Soccer club is home to several recreational teams for both boys and girls ranging from ages 4-19 as well as multiple competitive teams, known as the Rowdies, for both boys and girls that range from ages 10-17. All home games for both recreational and competitive teams are played at the Hunt Fountain Park’s soccer fields located at the 2020 Duff Road 33810 (Entrance to soccer fields is off of Green Rd.) The recreational teams also participate in the annual Judges Cup and All Stars tournaments for the U10 and above groups and are held throughout the Polk County region. The competitive team’s away games are mostly throughout the central west area (Region C) and may also participate in tournaments state wide.
